torres del paine, patagonia

Torres del Paine National Park, located in Chilean Patagonia, is one of the most stunning and visited sites in South America. Often referred to as the 8th Natural Wonder of the World, it is home to the famous W trek hike that includes the Base of the Towers viewpoint, the French Valley, and Grey Glacier (we will do several of these full-day hikes!) .Spanning approximately 230 hectares, this park is a true paradise for nature lovers and trekking enthusiasts, offering landscapes that seem lifted straight from a masterpiece. A map of the park reveals a world of diverse terrains—glaciers, grasslands, and granite peaks.

Patagonia, a region shared by Argentina and Chile, stretches from the lower sections of the Andes mountains to the southern end of South America. Known for its rugged, unspoiled nature, it's a place where lakes, plains, glaciers, and towering peaks come together. Torres del Paine is a jewel in this wild landscape.

November is the best month to visit Patagonia — with 16+ hours of sunlight and temperatures ranging from the 30s to the 60s, spring time in Patagonia (November is spring since it’s in the Southern Hemisphere) is the perfect time for long hikes. Plus, December is the busiest month due to holiday schedules, so November sees far fewer crowds.

yoga & programming

Yoga teaches us to turn inward, make peace with the present moment, and open our hearts to life around us. This 6-day container, without the distractions of everyday life, offers the opportunity to truly connect with your deepest intentions. With all the distractions of life on pause, there is space to carve out your path and reconnect to your life with purpose and clarity. This retreat will include self-discovery through the balance of discipline and devotion, yoga practice, and connection with a wonderful community.

Before our full-day hikes, we will wake up with sunrise yoga and meditation in the yoga dome, followed by breakfast and our adventure for the day!

This retreat is open to anyone – all levels of practice are welcomed and encouraged.

our retreat center

We will stay at Eco Camp Patagonia, the region's first fully sustainable accommodation south of the Amazon and the world's first geodesic hotel room. This award-winning, sustainable dome hotel is certainly bucket list worthy. You’ll stay in an individual dome, either shared (two people with two beds) or private (your own dome). The suite domes are lovely, with their own attached bathrooms and lush decoration. The standard domes and cozy and beautiful, with shared bathrooms that are not attached (think glamping!). There are communal domes where we will spend evenings reflecting on our adventures and sipping wine around the fire.

Additionally, there is a stunning yoga dome with a log-fire heater where we will do our yoga practices. At night, the sky illuminates with stars, and during the day you have beautiful views of the mountains all around. Eco Camp is perfectly located to explore the best of Torres del Paine National Park, and our daily excursions will take us all around the best parts of the W trek of the national park. Our group will be able to socialize with other travelers from around the world who are staying at Eco Camp.

The restaurant at Eco Camp offers multi-course meals to fuel us for our adventures. All meals are included at Eco Camp, including house wine!

WhAT We will do

On top of all the morning yoga, we will be hiking A LOT. In fact, we will spend our days doing some of the world’s most incredible hikes. While you don’t need to be a pro athlete for this retreat, you should enjoy long and rewarding hikes as we will be hiking everyday to really get the most out of this glamping adventure in the 8th Natural Wonder of the World.

We will spend the bulk of each day hiking the region. On the first full day, we will do the Pehoe Lake Boat Ride & French Valley Hike. After breakfast, we'll drive to Pudeto dock on Pehoe Lake's shore and board a catamaran to the lake's northwest sector. From there, we'll start the challenging trek to Valle Frances (French Valley) along a steep trail into the heart of the Paine Massif. Depending on our group's pace, we may reach the hanging bridge over the French River for fantastic valley views. We'll then ascend further to see the valley's impressive geological formations: Hoja, Máscara, Espada, Catedral, Aleta de Tiburón, and Fortaleza. After a picnic break, we'll descend through mixed grassland and light forest to Refugio Paine Grande on Lake Pehoe's shores.

On the second full day, we will have a slightly slower morning before the Lazo Weber Hike. After entering the National Park via Laguna Verde, we’ll begin our 12 km hike on the Lazo Weber Trail, enjoying native flora, wildlife, and views of the Paine range. We’ll take a break at Laguna Honda and hike through a quiet forest with Lenga and Coihue trees. Reaching El Toro Lookout, we’ll have a 360-degree view of the Paine mountain range, Patagonian Andes, and several rivers and lakes.

On the third full day, we will do the most famous trek: The Towers Base Trek. After a hearty breakfast, we set off from Eco Camp towards Hostería Las Torres and join the uphill path to Ascencio Valley on the Tower's eastern face. The scenic walk features dry mountain spots, beech forests, and small rivers. After a strenuous uphill climb, the Towers come into full view, rising majestically with a glacial lake below. We enjoy a picnic with this stunning backdrop before retracing our steps through Ascencio Valley and returning to Eco Camp.

On our fourth full day, we will have a slightly slower morning before a more relaxed day in nature on the Laguna Azul & Fauna Trail. This less-known sector offers excellent wildlife observation and stunning landscapes. Starting at the Lago Sarmiento gate, we walk along a gentle incline with views of the impressive lake, passing private land and a puma hunting area. After an hour, we reach a site with 6,000-year-old cave paintings, perfect for photographs and understanding the rugged geography. After two hours, we arrive at the Laguna Amarga gate, observing the Paine River's sinuous shape. We continue to the Cascada Paine sector and Cañadón Macho, home to guanacos, rheas, gray foxes, condors, and eagles. Finally, we head to Laguna Azul and embark on an exhilarating hike through the Masle mountain range, immersing ourselves in nature's beauty.
