PRESENT PRACTICE SCHOOL OF YOGA
DISCOVER YOUR POTENTIAL
Embark on a transformative journey of self-discovery and teaching mastery with Present Practice School of Yoga. Whether you plan to pursue a career teaching yoga or you simply want to deepen your practice while traveling the world, our 200-hour Vinyasa Yoga Teacher Training is for you.
WHY PRESENT PRACTICE?
Present Practice provides you with a teacher training experience like no other - become a fully credentialed yoga teacher through Yoga Alliance while exploring some of the world's most awe-inspiring destinations with the most incredible community to support and expand your experience and development. Morgan founded Present Practice School of Yoga to empower and inspire future teachers and leaders to share yoga as a way of being with the world. Our unique approach to teaching vinyasa yoga blends intelligent and creative sequencing with intention, breathwork, meditation, and yoga philosophy. We view the physical practice of yoga as a container for self-discovery and transformation and recognize that yoga is so much more than the physical shapes we make with our bodies - the physical practice is the gateway into the depths of our being.
Present Practice is rooted in deep knowledge, education, and embodiment of the practices – on and off the mat. Present Practice has its roots in Ashtanga yoga, with breath, alignment, and meditation at its core. Morgan's unique and widely popular approach to teaching yoga is challenging, yet accessible, and rooted in a decade of teaching experience. While teachers are encouraged to experiment and discover their unique style of teaching, our foundational 200-hour training provides a comprehensive and adaptable structure so each graduate is equipped to teach an inspiring, grounded, and safe class after training.
Ultimately, students are encouraged to get out of their own way to discover their potential.
PILLARS OF PRESENT PRACTICE
Present Practice is based on four pillars that make up the essence of the practice and guide the 200-hour training curriculum:
INTENTION
Purpose or aim that guides your actions, thoughts, and efforts toward a specific goal or outcome.
SELF-KNOWLEDGE
A deep understanding of your true nature, self, and purpose beyond your personality, identities, thoughts, and emotions.
BALANCE
Holistic equilibrium that involves integrating physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual aspects to cultivate a harmonious and integrated life on and off the mat.
DEVOTION
A transformative and heart-centered path that emphasizes love, surrender, and a connection with your true self and the divine.
THE TRAINING FORMAT
-
Over the course of 3 months, we will dive deep into the full training curriculum. The online module of training is intended to be flexible and support your integration of the training material into your daily life.
Weekly zoom calls will go over the materials plus have time for Q&A and group discussion. These weekly calls will create a sense of community amongst the training cohort so no one is a stranger by the time we arrive for our intensive retreat! Additionally, you’ll have weekly readings, reflection prompts, peer calls, assignments, and yoga classes recorded by Morgan to practice and observe.
-
Module 2 is where the real magic happens! After several months of deep study, self-reflection, and practice, we join together for a once-in-a-lifetime 15 day retreat intensive in the most awe-inspiring places around the world with an incredible community of your fellow trainees.
The retreat intensive portion of training serves as the practical application of all you have learned so far, with a huge focus on practice teaching, sequencing, adjusting, and understanding all there is to know about each asana! You’ll deepen your physical practice while gaining invaluable experience teaching yoga classes so you can graduate feeling equipped to step into your role as a yoga teacher.
And like with any Present Practice Retreat, you’ll experience the world and connect to yourself in a way you never have before. Training includes fun activities and excursions to get the most out of your time abroad!
